Engineering Projects and Consultancy

Engineering Projects & Consultancy
Activity includes rolling out optical fibre cable with in the city limits (access) and for long distances connecting cities (backbone).
| This activity includes rolling out OFC with in the city
limits (access) and for long distances connecting cities (backbone).
The process involves the following activities: |
| |
| » |
OFC Route Planning |
| » |
Right of Way (ROW) permissions and Civil works
like excavation of trench, Laying of HDPE / GI ducts and drawing
of nylon through the same to pull fiber |
| » |
Cable laying, Cable Blowing, Splicing, Jointing,
Trench less ducting, In-building installations, Electrical works,
FTH installations. |
|
| |
| Activities that are included in Typical Engineering
Projects are |
| Project Planning which includes developing the cost and
resource loaded project plans for access network teams. Access networks
can be Copper based access networks or fiber based access networks.
Activity also includes site surveys. The major focus of this activity
shall be to identify events, sequencing, restraints, and other project
influencing factors such as work schedules to enforce a rigid control
mechanism for achievement of project activities. Other activities under
it includes Summary and detailed resource plans, schedule and cost coordination,
client meeting and visits, and planning administration. Workforce is
deployed on field for installation of FTTH and VDSL2 deployment scope
of which includes Installation of Optical Distribution Frames, fiber
distribution cabinets, distribution points and IP MSANs, laying and
termination of feeder loops in exchange areas. |
| |
| Above activity is carried out under supervisory staff
with vast experience and a dedicated quality team who will be responsible
for quality inspections, conducting end to end testing on FTTH and VDSL2
netowrks, verifying home-pass, diagnosing and troubleshooting and finding
the area of fault. |
| |
| Field staff that is deployed over these network deployment
activities are experienced in splicing activities that includes fusion
splicing and outside plant (OSP) work. |
| |
| Some of the OFC rollout projects undertaken by
us are as under: |
| » |
200 KM Access Network in North Mumbai for Hughes
Telecom (Now TTML) in 2002 |
| » |
500 KM of Access Network (Copper) for TTSL in
Central Delhi in 2004. |
| » |
200 KM Backbone Network for Airtel in UP East
presently in progress. |
